  13. after trying two different Creatix V.34 SG2834 modems on two different 
  14. computers, we believe that this modem model has a hardware problem which 
  15. shows when operating in answer mode. Symptons:
  16.  
  17. No problems at all when operating as the caller, but when used in
  18. answer mode:
  19.  
  20. o not picking-up or only once -> modem has to be switched off and on
  21.   to pick-up the line for a subsequent call
  22.  
  23. o flashing DTR light every 10 seconds when waiting for a call
  24.  
  25. o RAS port status report (modem condition) alternates between
  26.   "hardware failure" and "normal" in sync with the DTR light blinking.
  27.  
  28. Can anyone confirm that we have indeed a hardware bug with this modem
  29. type? 
  30. Please also let us also know, if you have a successful answer mode set-up
  31. with the Creatix SG2834 modem!
